How do I bid on a project?

Bid Ocean helps you find and track opportunities -- but the actual bidding process happens through the platform managing that specific project. Here's how to get there.

If the project is on Quest

Quest is a separate bidding platform, also from Hubexo. Many projects in Bid Ocean are managed there.

  1. Open the Project Detail page in Bid Ocean.
  2. On the Overview tab, find the Quest Number field. Click the Quest Number link.
  3. You'll be taken to a special Quest sign-in page. See Article 14 for sign-in instructions.
  4. Once signed in to Quest, you'll be routed directly to the project page where you can access plans, specs, and submit your bid.
  5. Open the Project Detail page in Bid Ocean.
  6. Check the Description tab -- bidding instructions typically include an external link or contact information.
  7. Follow the instructions provided to submit your bid through the relevant platform or contact.

          If the project is managed elsewhere

                Tip: If a Quest Number is listed on the Overview tab, the project is on Quest. If there's no Quest Number, check the Description tab or contact the Solicitor directly using details on the Contacts tab.

                Where are the plans and specs?

                Plans and specifications are available through Quest for projects managed on that platform. Check the Plan Holders tab on the Project Detail page to see which contractors have already obtained plans -- this can signal how active the bidding is.
