How do I filter my search results?

Filters help you find the most relevant opportunities. Filters are available in two places: the search bar at the top of the Dashboard (before you run a search), and the filter panel on the left side of your search results page (to refine results after a search).

Available filters

1. Keywords

Type free text into the search bar -- project names, trade terms, locations, or anything else you're looking for.

2. Location (State)

Use the Location dropdown to select one or more US states. Results will be limited to opportunities in those states.

3. Posting Type

Use the Posting Type dropdown to filter by:

  • Construction Opportunity -- active construction projects seeking bids
  • Goods & Services -- procurement opportunities for goods or services
  • Requests -- requests for proposals or information
  • Keywords – enter any keyword
  • Trades - drill down into specific trades within a posting type (for example, within Civil Roads & Marine you can filter by Dredging, Earthwork, or other sub-trades)
  • Project Sectors - filter by sector classification
  • Construction Type - filter by Construction Type. Note: not listed on all projects, so this filter may reduce results significantly.
  • Bid Value – filter by bid value. Note: not listed on all projects.
  • Projects with Bid Results – Bid results are available and can be seen on the project or by logging into Quest.
  • Bid Close Date – Add a from and until date to refine the time period for project bids
  • Funding Type - filter by how the project is funded. Note: not listed on all projects.

Note: Only the posting types included in your subscription will appear in this dropdown.

        4. Bid Value

Enter a minimum and/or maximum project value. Note: not all projects have a value assigned -- those projects may not appear when a value filter is active.

        5. Bid Close Date

Set a date range for the bid submission window. Click the calendar icon to select start and end dates, then click OK to apply.

Additional filters on the search results page

After running a search, you can further refine your results using the filter panel on the left side of the page. These filters include:

                        Running the filtered search

Once your filters are set, click the red Search button. Active filters appear as tags in the search bar -- click the X on any tag to remove that filter and re-run.
