What to expect from Bid Ocean

What kind of projects will I see?

Bid Ocean shows bidding-stage projects -- opportunities where the bid window is open or approaching. Projects are verified by the Hubexo Research team and submitted directly by Solicitors and Owners. All projects are assigned at least one posting type and at least one trade.

Why can't I see projects in other states?

Your subscription covers a set number of geographic regions. Lite covers 1-3 geographies; Core covers 3 or more. If you want to expand your coverage, contact us.

Why is Lite so simple -- am I missing features?

Lite is intentionally focused. It's designed to keep your attention on bidding, not admin. If you want search, filtering, and pipeline tracking, Core is the right tier.

Why don't I see projects I expected to find?

A few possible reasons: the project may fall outside your subscribed geographies or opportunity types; the project may have been recently added and not yet in your next daily alert; or a value filter may be active that's excluding projects without an assigned value. For Core users, try running a direct search with the project name or ID.

What is a Posting Type?

All projects in Bid Ocean have at least one Posting Type. There are three: Construction Opportunity (active construction projects), Goods & Services (procurement), and Requests (RFPs, RFIs, and similar). Your opportunity type selection at signup controls which types appear in your subscription.

What are Trade Groups and Trades?

Trade Groups are broad categories like Building Envelope, Civil Roads & Marine, or Mechanical Electrical Plumbing. Trades are more specific classifications within those groups. When you sign up, you choose your trade interest, which filters the projects you see.

Can I see who else is bidding on a project?

If plan holder information is available for a project, it appears on the Plan Holders tab of the Project Detail page. Not all projects have plan holders listed.

Can I export my data?

Data export is not available in Lite or Core at this time.

Where does the data come from?

Bid Ocean is powered by Hubexo -- a proven dataset used across multiple global markets. Opportunities are continuously updated by the Hubexo Research team and through direct submissions from Solicitors and Owners.

How current is the data?

Projects are updated on an ongoing basis by the Hubexo Research team. The "Last Modified" date on every Project Detail page shows when information was last updated.
